Suzanne’s Colourful Neon Staffy Kitchen Splashback
Suzanne chose this bold neon Staffordshire Bull Terrier design because the dog looked remarkably similar to her own Staffy. Printed against a deep black background, the vivid colours create a striking focal point and work beautifully with the monochrome kitchen.

Suzanne wanted a kitchen splashback that was a little more personal than a traditional pattern or landscape, and this colourful neon Staffordshire Bull Terrier design immediately stood out because of how closely the dog resembled her own Staffy.
The artwork features a strong, characterful Staffy portrait created using vibrant shades of pink, blue, green, yellow and orange. These bright colours sit against a deep black background, allowing the dog to really stand out and giving the finished splashback a modern, almost illuminated appearance.
A splashback with real personality
The finished splashback measures 750mm x 600mm and sits perfectly behind Suzanne's gas hob. The black background works especially well within the room, tying in naturally with the black extractor hood and darker kitchen appliances.
The surrounding white and grey metro tiles provide a neutral backdrop, which makes the colourful dog artwork even more eye-catching. Rather than competing with the rest of the kitchen, the splashback becomes the main feature of the cooking area.
Inspired by Suzanne's own Staffy
What makes this project particularly special is the personal connection behind the design. Suzanne chose the image because the Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the artwork looked very similar to her own dog.
Pet-inspired kitchen splashbacks can be a great way to bring something personal into the home. A design does not necessarily have to be an exact photograph of your pet either. Sometimes finding a piece of artwork with the same breed, colouring or expression can create just as much of a connection.
A replacement that was spot on
